ILOG Rules for .NET 3.0: a Natural Fit for the Microsoft .NET Platform

We at ILOG have taken our commitment to creating products for the Microsoft .NET platform to new levels. We believe a business rule management system (BRMS) should fit in its environment in ways that are expected and natural. For this reason, we have developed ILOG Rules for .NET 3.0 to fit the idea of Microsoft centricity, guiding and defining features and experiences that are truly unique to Microsoft-oriented systems.

Microsoft touch-points
To measure integration of ILOG Rules for .NET within the Microsoft stack, one simply needs to survey the number of touch-points within Microsoft’s offerings. Only ILOG can claim the number and depth of Microsoft integration points covered by ILOG Rules for .NET:

  • .NET 2.0, 3.0
  • Microsoft Office 2007
  • Internet Information Server (IIS)
  • Microsoft SharePoint Services 3.0
  • ASP.NET Server Controls
  • Microsoft Visual Studio 2005
  • Microsoft Windows Workflow Foundation (WF)
  • Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
  • BizTalk
  • Microsoft Management Console (MMC) 3.0
  • Windows Services
  • Logging Application Block
  • WMI Events
  • PerfMon
  • MSBuild
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2005
  • Visual Source Safe

Microsoft product extensions
Microsoft has gone to great lengths to create extensible products and technologies. Since the introduction of Object Link and Embedding (OLE) in Microsoft Office, independent software vendors (ISVs) have been encouraged to explore ways to make Microsoft Office a dynamic experience for users. ILOG believes documents not only describe policy content, but our add-on makes content reusable and executable—all from within the same tool that analysts and business users are comfortable with. ILOG Rules for .NET is inside the tools users care about.

ILOG’s relationship with Microsoft
ILOG has a significant and growing relationship with Microsoft. ILOG Rules for .NET’s technical team works with several of Microsoft’s product and technology groups world-wide to create new products and provide excellent service our shared customers.
