The ILOG CPLEX Parallel Mixed Integer Program (MIP) Optimizer exploits parallelism while solving nodes of the branch-and-cut tree for mixed integer programming problems. The Parallel MIP Optimizer implements a deterministic mode of operation that produces a repeatable, invariant solution path, as well as an optional opportunistic mode that takes full advantage of parallelism for potentially even better performance.

In an alternative use of multiple processors, ILOG CPLEX Concurrent Optimizer can apply multiple algorithms to a single linear programming problem.
